PALACE ON WHEELS

 The Palace on Wheels is the oldest and most popular of India’s luxury trains. It’s been operating since 1982 and is rated one of the ten best luxurious train journeys in the world. A trip on this train is like taking a step back in time.

ITINERARY – Palace on Wheels

Day 1. Depart Delhi

 Day 2. Jaipur, full day sightseeing of hawa Mahal, Amber fort, etc;

Day 3. Sawai Madhopur – Ranthambore national park for tiger sighting, fort at Chittor;

Day 4. Visit the City of Lakes, visit the famous Lake Pichola that houses the Lake Palace Hotel, visit the palace of the brave Rajputs of Mewar, re-live their history at City Palace among others;

Day 5. Jaisalmer sightseeing of fort and historic havelis;

Day 6. Jodhpur, visit Umaid Bhawan Palace and Mehrangarh fort;

Day 7. Visit bird sanctuary at Bharatpur onward to Agra to see the Taj Mahal;

 The Maharaja Express Train is India’s most recent addition and most costly luxury tourist train. Maharaja Express Train is also the first luxury train in India to travel across the entire country. Different themed tours are also offered, with each visiting a different part of India.

Day 1.  Depart Delhi onward to Agra, to see Taj Mahal;

Day 2.  At Gwalior visit the ancient Saas- Bahu temples;

Day 3.  See the architectural marvels of Orcha and Khajuraho temples (famous the world over)

Day4.  Tiger safari at one of the most picturesque park in India at Bandhavgarh;

Day 5. Visit the holy city of Banaras (Varanasi);

Day 2.  View in awe the Umaid Bhawan Palace and Mehrangarh fort in Jodhpur;

Day 3.  Re-live the valour of the Rajputs, view the fort at Chittorgarh onward to Udaipur to see the City Palace and Lake Pichola-that houses the famous Lake Palace Hotel;

Day 4.  Go tiger sighting at Ranthambore onward to see the Hawa Mahal at the Pink City- Jaipur;

Day 5.  Visit the World Heritage Site at Khajuraho;

Day 6.  Meditate on the banks of the Ganges in the holy city of Varanasi;

THE GOLDEN CHARIOT

 The Golden Chariot gets its name from the Stone Chariot in Hampi, one of the many places it visits as it winds its way through the state of Karnataka. An expanded route, encompassing Tamil Nadu and Kerala has been added.
